Sometimes, you gotta go for a walk...

Whether you're an artist or not, inspiration is a great motivator. Inspiration can come from something as sacred as faith or something as silly as a child's sleepy giggle (which, now that I think about it, is sacred too).

Sometimes, though, ya just gotta go for a walk.

That's right, a walk.

We're very blessed to live near a lot of charming waterfront towns that are perfect to meander through....and, of course, take pictures of and gather moments of inspiration. Maybe a little relaxation, too!

Do you have a place that you go to gather inspiration from?

Pizza Box Love Letters

The Hubs lets me know everyday that he loves me.

Whether it's with a kiss, a helping hand (or two), or by simply telling me, he lets me know that I'm loved.

The other day, we were in the kitchen chatting about this, that and the other when he starts scribbling on a pizza box that was on top of the counter.

To my delight, when I glanced down to see what he was up to, I saw a little love note.

So I wrote one right back.

Sweet Shot Tuesday

This is the Bubs.
He's 7.
He usually only gives me goofy poses or grumpy looks.
Sometimes, though, I manage to get lucky and snap a photo on the sly.
I'm mom photographer 007.
(Without the washboard abs or posh brit accent.)

Thanks for stopping by!

A soul that sings...

"It's in quiet moments
that her heart
sings the loudest."
In quiet moments, my heart sings of love and faith. Melodies lift and soar while harmonies intertwine, singing of a soul that's loved and forgiven...even if it's riddled with imperfections.

Little Moments - Big Boys

As Moms, we all know that it's those little moments along the way with our kids that make life so great. A giggle, a discovery...moments of bliss wrapped up in the simple acts of being a kid.

I love those moments. I live for them. I've always tried to actively keep my eye (and ears) out for them because I know that they can be easily missed as I go about my day-to-day business.

Lately, I've been having moments of a different sort...

You know the ones. The moments that bring the stunning and bittersweet realization that your babies are, well, not babies anymore.

Sometimes I look at the Hubby and moan over how quickly they're growing up.

The Bubs is almost through with 1st grade and is getting to be so tall. He's already up to my shoulder!

E-man is walking everywhere and lets us see more and more of his little personality everyday.

Our boys. My babies.

Of day trips, cameras and science...

Last week was Spring Break for us. There was no big trip or pre-planned agenda for us.
But we did have a day trip to a local Imagination Station where they have kid- friendly interactive exhibits geared towards science.
And I got in some fun camera time.

The Bubs went a little spacey.
(I know. Bad pun.)

This turtle was very tolerant of me and my camera.
He (it?) had the snootiest expressions...
If turtles could have expressions.

I've heard of "mouth of the South" but this was ridonculous!
And a lot of fun for the Bubs to try out his silly poses in...

Speaking of silly poses, I had a wee bit of fun with some of the optical illusion mirrors.
I'm easily amused, y'all.

I had to laugh at this contraption.
It's a giant scale.
Just what every woman wants to see....

Like I said, I got in plenty of camera time so there's more photo-filled posts on the way!

Everyday Occasions Scrapbook~ Easter Egg Hunt

The Bubs had a blast...even though, technically, he was the only one hunting for eggs.

E-man was unsure and, at first, unimpressed with the colorful orbs.

My cousin, K., who has always been so wonderful with the boys was more than happy to take E-man around Nana's yard at his own pace. She even hid the eggs for us so that we could finish eating and chat for a while. You, Miss K., are awesome!

E-man hung out on the porch enjoying his small stash of goodies while his big brother continued to hunt down more of which had a $5 bill in it!
